Authors of Web Survey Methodology: Some models have estimated that additional question adds the increase in breakoff rate of 0.06%, which is similar to the results from SurveyMonkey study. More elaboration can be found in thebook section on Questionnaire length (2.3.4.3) and in dedicated treatment on Breakoffs (2.5.2.2), where indicators and occurrence in different types of surveys is presented.
